Jazz 2
Our Intermediate level Jazz dance for those having passed Junior 3 jazz exams through ADAPT.
Musical Theatre
Students apply their jazz theory with popular show tune music. Must be enrolled in a Jazz class to participate. This class will be entered to a novice competition but is open to all to join.
Pre teen/Teen Lyrical
Students apply their jazz theory to softer music, and create flowing motion. Must be enrolled in a Jazz class to participate. This class will be entered to a novice competition but is open to all to join.
Advanced Acro 1 & 2
Our competitive stream students taking their second weekly acro class to supplement their Cirque Classes .
Tuesday Classes
Cirque (silks component)
Students are eligible to take our Cirque training once or twice per week to experience acrobatics, aerial silks, and aerial hoop. Tuesday evening focus is on two tail silks (we do not train the hammock), where half the class is spent working on their floor acrobatic skills, then moving them to the silk apparatus. Silk training begins at a slightly older age than aerial hoop due to the requirement to be able to properly hold the fabric (hoop has a much more narrow circumference and is easier to manipulate).
Cirque S1 to S3 follow their age
Cirque S4 is advanced for competitive students
Wednesday Classes
Tap 1
Our beginner option for those seeking to learn dance technique. Suitable for students up to 2 years of experience.
For more advanced options, please contact us to see if Tap 2 is right for you.
Tap 2
Intermediate level Tap for those having worked on Tap dance before, please contact us to see if your skillset suits the more advanced class.
Advanced Hoop
For Competitive stream students only working on advanced hoop tricks. If Wednesday does not work for our returning students, Thursday classes are an option as well (register for H4).
Hip Hop
Suitable for pre-teen and teens, this is an introductory class to hip hop. Each month a short combination will be taught, students can join anytime.
Mom Jazz
Are you a mom that loves to dance? Our just for fun adult class will teach you some jazz basics, and work them into a fun routine. Some moms will choose to hit the stage at one of our year end dance competitions (JUST FOR FUN!), but it is not required if you are not comfortable with the idea.
Thursday Classes
Cirque (hoop component)
Students are eligible to take our Cirque training once or twice per week to experience acrobatics, aerial silks, and aerial hoop. Thursday evening focus is on the aerial hoop, where half the class is spent working on their floor acrobatic skills, then moving those skills to the apparatus. Hoop training begins at a slightly younger age than aerial silks due to the requirement to be able to properly hold the fabric (hoop has a much more narrow circumference and is easier to manipulate).
We begin this component of Hoop training at age 5 years (must be in Senior Kindergarten or Grade 1)
Advanced students that are in our competitive stream may choose their second weekly Cirque class on Thursdays (not required to take Advanced hoop Wednesdays)
Sunday Classes
Production
Last season we offered our students the opportunity to participate in “Nutcracker with a Twist” live performance with the Pembroke Symphony Orchestra. Participation in our Production requires enrolment in one of our Cirque or Dance classes (recreational or competitive), but does not require full commitment to our competitive program.
This year we will be putting together an all ages mixed genre production piece (tap, jazz, acrobatics, hoop) to be performed at our dance competitions at the novice entry level. This is a great starting point if your child is curious about what it is like to experience the competitive atmosphere before fully immersing themselves into the experience. The newer students will be able to work along side our more experienced competitive students.
No previous competition experience is required to participate.
All ages welcome (including adults)
